Twinkl and the Countryside Code
We are excited to announce we have partnered with Twinkl to create a new Countryside Code education pack. The pack contains a variety of resources that can be used in classrooms or at home to help teach the Countryside Code.

The Countryside Code & Pawprint Family
We’re excited to be working with Pawprint Family to offer an accessible badge, activity pack and printable resources for use in schools, youth groups, home education and to help you discover the Countryside Code and the key messaging of Respect, Protect, Enjoy. There are also 3 free resources to print and use including a handy flashcard set for the signs and symbols of the Countryside Code to attach. The free challenge pack, available to download from the Pawprint Family website, brings you 40+ activity ideas for your next adventure outdoors!

In 2023, we worked with Picture News to develop a weekly news pack focussed on the Countryside Code for teachers, with resources for primary aged children, focus questions and cross-curricular links

Have a coastal adventure with The Snail and the Whale
Natural England, Macmillan Children’s Books and the Marine Management Organisation are offering inspiration for fun days out at the coast with an activity booklet for children aged 4-8, inspired by the family-favourite story of The Snail & The Whale.
This free booklet contains activities, puzzles and fun facts – everything you need to enjoy a day out exploring the coast.

A guide from the Yorkshire Land Network on looking after the countryside
Watch as young rangers from the Yorkshire Land Network stumble across some common mistakes visitors make during their stay and what advice they give to make everyone’s countryside a cleaner and safer location.

Examples of promoting Countryside Code messages through partners and businesses
In the Summer of 2024 we worked with Feather Down Farms, a company who offer off-grid family-friendly farm stays across the UK (and in Europe too). Featherdown promoted the messages of Respect, Protect, Enjoy, Feather Down Farms throughout the summer on the social channels and on their farm sites.
During the Summer of 2024 Campwild have developed a code that reflects messages from the Countryside Code in order to set a standard for visitors to their camping locations. This is to encourage responsible camping, with the permission of landowners, and focusses on the three key areas of the Countryside Code: Respect, Protect and Enjoy
As more people venture into wild spaces, it’s more important than ever to practice behaviours that protect these wonderful landscapes. The CampWild Code helps guide these efforts, offering a clear path to responsible camping.
